I have had 5 friends (as well as myself) have their emails hacked very recently. The person will send a mass email telling people to check out a site with cheap deals. Then, they delete their contacts. I ran a virus scan on my computer and it came up with nothing. What’s going on? This happen to anyone else?
Someone is hacking email accounts?

First you should never click on a link, you are not sure about. I don’t understand how so many users, can’t follow simple rules. Once you or your friend click on the link, I’m betting your hacked from a security vulnerability. You probably have a old version of Adobe flash, Java, or maybe even an outdated browser. Next to P2P file sharing this is the most common why to be infected or hacked.
