Sending mass email in Microsoft Outlook?

I need to send an email to about 300 addresses and every time I try I get this error 452 4.5.3 Too many recipients specified.

How can I correct this? I’ve even tried cutting the distribution list in half and sending the email 2 times. No luck

Help!
Thanks!!

Many ISP’s limit the # of emails sent at one time. This is to combat Spam. Even when an email client such as Microsoft Outlook allows for the creation of large mailing lists, the ISP will block the Send operation and return the error you specified.

The only way you could alter this would be to purchase a business account with your ISP. A business account allows for sending hundreds and sometimes even thousands of emails. Businesses often have very large customer bases and as such require the ability to send mass mailings. Even individuals who just have a small web presence, even free resources and the like with a membership base, they have to receive either permission or pay for a business account with their ISP.

This is a major reason that criminals create bot armies of hacked computers they can minipulate from a remote area. They don’t have the ability to send out their junk legally, or don’t want to pay for the required bandwidth, so they use these cracked bots.

So, sure, Outlook has the capability of creating and sending out a huge mailing list in one Send operation, but unless you have a business account with your ISP, your ISP blocks such Send operations.

There isn’t anything wrong with your application, the issue is your ISP. Sorry to have to tell you this, but it is the simple truth.

Have you ever heard of people receiving notices from their ISPs telling them that their servers detected large numbers of emails sent from their IP address and that their account is in danger of being shut down? Well, the reason is that their machine is being remotely handled by a hacker.

Well, good luck and please have a nice day.
