My boyfriend is 18 and very good at soccer. He is going to leave for college next year and study sports management. He has had offers from many schools asking for him to be on their team but he is not sure whether or not he wants to stay committed to the sport or start up a new life style. he has decided that whatever he does, he wants to be a private soccer trainer. He has had about three clients recently so far. but his mother is pretty much at the top of the local soccer organization and he is very close with college coaches and club coaches. he has set up a guy to make him a website and his mother is sending out a mass email to the soccer club which is about 6,000 people. If he markets himself well and does a good job with the training, how well do you think this will work out for him? how much would you say he should start out charging at this point and as he grows as a trainer, how much should he pay later? what should he expect from the business and if he is able to get a regular client basis then could he later rely on this job only? like if he relied on just this job, how many people would you say he should stay regular with and how much should he charge them? for now while hes in school he’s planning on only doing this a couple days a week but when hes older it would become a full time thing. im kinda not familiar with all this stuff and i dont really know what all to ask so if you know anything, please just tell me as much as possible. any information and advice and tips would help. Thank you so much!
Question for soccer(America) coaches or soccer people?

there is different things he has to consider, things such as what qualifications he has or hes going to get? has he done any coaching before? because it doesn’t matter how good you are at playing the sport you might not be the best at coaching, another thing is it depends on what age groups he wants to coach, if its kids or players the same age as him…
but i would recommend that he gets his goalkeeping qualifications because i know for fact that american kids love being goalkeepers because they get to use their hands and using your hand is a big thing in america because all the big sports over there use there hands, basketball american football etc… and a good well qualified goalkeeping coach can charge up to $50 an hour, but that depends on your experience and the part of america you coach…
if i was him i would get as much coaching as possible, wether its just going to old school and helping out or going down to local soccer clubs and helping out with them and learning from the coaches there…
