how do I attach an entire photo folder to an email?

I’m transferring computers and I need to get mass amounts of photo’s to somewhere accessible (my e-mail) from my new laptop.

Individually attaching each photo to an e-mail isn’t possible… e-mailing them is basically my last resort.

zip the folder then attach it.

It wont make the folder any smaller but it will turn it into one file that can be attached to the email (assuming its below your email providers max file size if they have one).

You can use a zip utility to zip the complete folder or better yet, buy a USB thumbdrive large enough to store all the photos on it and then just transfer the folder to any new PC via the USB port.

You can, when you click on attach file you can open the folder but you cant click on the folder to send it, you have to check each picture you want but you can send up to 200 pictures per email

I suggest you to zip the folder with photos using winzip software that you can download free a trial version. Then you could transfer the zipped file to a pen drive or to email if you want to send it through a local networ or using telephone communications lines.
    Hope this helps you.

There are free file hosting sites available like rapidshare or megaupload, which will allow you to upload a zip file of a bunch of photos.

However, I would recommend spending a few dollars on a jump drive / flash drive. Any USB flash drive perhaps 1 GB in size should allow you to transfer your photos with a few trips. And these things cost less than $20.

It really depends on how many photos (size wise). If it is less than 10 MegaBytes then zipping the photos and attaching them to an email is a reasonable option. if it is 200 MegaBytes or less, uploading to a file hosting site is a good option. And if it is greater than that, buying a flash drive would be the most practical option.
