As nice as Gmail is, some aspects of it annoy me so much. Much like hotmail, outlook, or ANY other email program, it doesnt appear that you can send an email from your list of conacts. I wanted to send out a mass email the other day and I had to go through all the people I knew in my mind and type their names in the TO field because I couldnt find a way to check them off from my contacts list and email them that way. Can this be done?? Also can you turn off conversations so it doesnt lump your emails together by subject?
Gmail - Send mass email from contact list?

I suggest using a third party solution. The one I use is
Their basic plan of membership is $19.95 and allows you to manage up to 20,000 contacts… probably way more capacity that you’ll ever need but it’s there if you do. You can import your address book then send an e-mail broadcast or pre-schedule an e-mail, or series of e-mails, to be sent at a date in the future.
Unlike your Gmail account, messages are only sent to confirmed contacts. When someone requests subscription, they are sent an e-mail from the system on your behalf. They must then click a special link within the body of the e-mail to confirm their request for subscription, same goes for contacts you import from your address book. This ensures your e-mails are sent only to those who wish to receive them and keeps your mailings legal.
If you have any questions about e-mail marketing, just ask! I’ve been marketing online for 10+ years full-time and have a vast amount of knowledge on the subject. A lot of people do it the wrong way, get discouraged and quit. It’s very easy to do it the right way, keep encouraged and automate most of the processes to ultimately produce the reward you have in mind.
Take care.
