Well, if the goal of mass mailings is to annoy me, they succeed in that quite well.
Whether or not they succeed in grabbing my interest in whatever they’re promoting… generally not. To be honest, when I see that an email is a mass mail, that is a bit offputting to me from the start, as it hints of spam, which no one likes.
May not be the case for others, but that’s my two cents.

If you want to really shine and get attention to your list, you want to grow your email list organically through PPC and Google Adwords.
