I have a friend who shares her opinion on everything going on in the world. She blogs - sends her blogs out in emails, sends emails to remind every one that she has a new blog, sends out daily “My thoughts on…” various topics, sends out daily “quote of the day”, sends out political propaganda e-mails for her side, and even mass e-mails her friends ABOUT the happening in her other friends’ lives (I don’t know whether or not they care).
Do you have any friends with annoying internet habits? Mass emails/forwards/blogs?

I’ve had to block friends who only e-mail forwards they get from other people. They just pass them on without trying to find out whether or not they’re real. One of them I even had to block on Myspace because she’d fill up my bulletin space with the same forwards and stupid surveys (once in awhile, they’re fun, but 10 a day and the kind that are written by middle schoolers–we’re in our upper 20s–get really old).

I have a friend i like to call chicken little. she forwards everything about possible product hazards, food dangers, etc. Most of which are not even true. We finally got her to use snopes.com before posting after about 4 posts in as many days that turned out to be false. but last week she posted something about china putting used condoms in hair bands. Well it checked out on snopes…almost, The product was only sold in southwest china and we live in midwestern USA. Also the condoms being used were simply ones that didn’t pass inspection for condom use, so instead of chopping them up and melting them back down for reuse, they sold them to a hair band maker. who simply used them like elastic bands to make the core of fabric wrapped hair bands.

I read a recent article that said that people who overly blog are narcissistic. That is probably the case of your friend. Luckily, I dont have a friend who does that. But on my Myspace page there are these 2 girls who constantly send eachother messages on the public bulletin. The flood the whole bulletin with their conversations. They just want everyone to read what they are talking about. It is so annoying.

I have friends that send instant messages to me first, but then they have nothing to talk about or they talk about something I clearly told them I didn’t have an interest in.

I get forwards from someone who doesn’t delete all the other addresses first. I have all her emails set up to go directly to the deleted items folder. Who want to see 200 strangers addresses, more importantly, I don’t want my address going to strangers in forwards.

This person is too free. Tell her you prefer that she stops sending you such emails.
