The Safeway computer network was hacked and some emails were published on a Russian server. One of the emails from the CEO of Safeway said they needed to “hunt down more customers.”
Should the CEO of Safeway be convicted as a mass murderer based on these leaked emails?

Brilliant analogy.

you better be careful.
seems you don’t understand.
deniers can make any kind of wild accusation they’d like.
but people of science need to be perfect.

YOU deserve the nobel peace prize !
A true genius!

No, but if Safeway was colluding with Kroger to keep Fry’s out of the market, then the CEOs were erasing emails and destroying documents, yes i would see the need for prosecution. Got another (bad) analogy?

Really! Did someone leave the door open in the frozen food section or what? Maybe he had a bad experience in the fruit and nuts section also.

Remember Kenneth Starr? He was the one who headed the investigation into President Bill Clinton’s affair which resulted in the impeachment. When Starr was with General Motors, or Chrysler, it was determined that a model of car they sold would explode if rear ended in a crash. He determined that it would cost the company less money to pay damages to the victims than to have a total safety recall. This then resulted in the deaths of over 50 people. So tell me, does the negligent homicide of 50 people constitute mass murder?

The founder of Sav-A-Lot actually was a serial killer.

Yeah Dana…it is definitely a similar context…uh hugh! Safeway is really out to bias international opinion and claim that they have “real science” behind their motives!

Funny you should ask. Dennis Koslowski, former CEO of Tyco is doing 8 to 25 in prison for various white collar offences. He made a few off hand remarks which were produced in his trail which didn’t help his case. Maybe he’s found an unexpected ally in the global warming movement in that apparently anything incriminating can be claimed to be out of context.

Nice try. The best defense is an offense right?
Edit: I wish I could give Noah Tall five thumbs up!

Still lying, and not even a smile.

Dr. Huh! Did you realize they wrecked so many vehicles trying to make them explode like the vehicles were supposedly doing because of the side saddle fuel tank they finally gave up running them into each other? They decided an explosive device in the fuel tank would show what was “really” happening without wasting so much money wrecking vehicles and not getting the results they wanted.
I think Safeway would be better off hunting down some of their useless staff. Get rid of the really slow ones and give the good ones a raise.

Tony,
The blog effort seems to be going slowly of late the crew here have been working over time but there seems to be a feeling this is not as effective as it has been in the past.
I had an email from Bill Colton earlier in the week he said that the board want something new, more directly aimed at discrediting warming he said that the feeling is we are not going far enough, he is talking about cutting funding.
The idea has been floated that we try a different angle, one of the blog contributors here has said he thinks he can hack the hadley data centre and has already made some tentative attempts at this obtaining emails and files from a lead researcher there, the thought is we release this just before Copenhagen which should cause some confusion. I’ve been in touch with Tim about doing a you-tube video to back this up when we have something to run with and he is on board. Chris Booker is always ready to help for the usual amount and my contact at the WJS has said she can also offer a piece, if these two work it will give an air of credibility. If all goes well we aim to set this in motion around the 15 to 20th of Nov.
Regards
James

“Your guy lied, has been lying for a long time, claims to not be a liar, and calls people who don’t believe him ‘deniers.’ There could be a problem with that, don’t you think?”
“Well, some guy you might like lied too!”
Hey… great defense - it is, after all, the best one you have.

Dana,
You should have kept that analogy in your pocket. Sounds pretty desperate.
